• Account & profile information — name, email address, phone number, profile photo, campus affiliation, and service listing details you provide.
• Student verification — student providers verify eligibility using an institutional .edu email address (or an international campus-email equivalent). We use this solely to confirm active student status and campus affiliation.
• Payment information — to facilitate payments, we store limited payment references such as your Stripe customer ID and payment method ID. Card numbers and other sensitive payment details are entered directly into Stripe's secure systems and are never transmitted to or stored on JoeHustle servers.
• Communications — messages exchanged between users about a job or service, and correspondence with our support team.
• Usage & device data — information such as IP address, device/browser type, and general usage patterns, used for security, fraud prevention, and improving the platform.

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate the marketplace, including listings, search, and matching hirers with student providers.
• Verify student eligibility through automated .edu self-verification.
• Facilitate payments — when a hirer sends a funded offer, payment is authorized at booking time and charged once the work is marked complete, processed through Stripe.
• Send transactional notifications, such as booking updates, messages, and payment status.
• Maintain trust and safety signals on the platform — for example, reviews and completed-job indicators unlock only after a paid, completed booking.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Stripe — to process payments and provider payouts. JoeHustle does not hold or custody funds; payments are authorized and processed through Stripe. For student providers, we share the information necessary for Stripe Connect account onboarding (such as identity verification details Stripe requires) and for sending payouts.
• Service providers — vendors who perform functions on our behalf (such as hosting, analytics, and email or SMS delivery), bound by contractual confidentiality and data-use obligations.
• Legal requirements — when required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of JoeHustle, our users, or others.
• Other users, in limited form, as necessary to operate the marketplace (for example, a hirer and provider can see each other's name, profile, and messages relevant to a booking).

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or update the personal information we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal information, subject to legal and financial record-keeping requirements.
• Opt out of non-essential marketing communications at any time.
